    As a male professional massage therapist who also receives massage alot, I dont think this is a silly question.
    We discussed this in massage school and a mother of 3 boys said it best: erections are gonna happen.
    If you get an erection but are just relaxing, not asking personal questions, not trying to make eye contact with the therapist and otherwise not trying to drive the massage into a sexual situation, then a professional massage therapist should not care about this.
    I’ve found that some therapists get anxious and think this is a form of men hitting on them. Unfortunately, every massage therapist I know has been put in awkward situations by mostly men who are pushing for something sexual. You cant blame them but there are plenty of massage therapists out there who are more experienced and wont care. Look for an older therapist with over 5 years of experience and they should not have a problem with a natural bodily process that is more likely to occur when you are relaxed.
    This is a reason why many respectful men dont get massage and its a shame.

    if your massage therapist were trained properly they would be able to handle it. when i was in school we were taught that it is perfectly normal for a male client to get an erection (females can be aroused as well). as long as you are not making advances or exhibiting crude behavior then there shouldn’t be a problem, what you are doing is perfectly natural.
